Chapter 3 – Continue to Declutter your Home Space

Once you finally get started, your work isn’t done yet. It is time to get to the main areas of your home that have accumulated clutter over the years. Plus, you will need to devise a system to keep clutter from accumulating again. Let’s visit each room of your house to find areas where you can definitely improve the level of cleanliness.

Kitchen

First, look through your fridge as recommended in the previous chapter. Get it cleaned out. Also, organize it and designate a shelf for things that are soon to turn, so that you can remember to eat them first. Look on the fridge and thin out the number of magnets to include only those that you like.

Observe your decor. What is outdated, mismatched, low-tech, or useless? Get rid of textiles, novelty tablecloths, and silly pictures in favor of things you do like. Pick one theme for the kitchen and make sure all textiles, dishes, and appliances at least go with it.
